Thanks for that interesting read. Not sure where keep-last <N> is entered. I didn't see anything on the backup options. Where are these switches entered or controlled? Or does this only apply to the standalone backup server?
What would be really nice is a feature to ciick on accepted emails and select them in future to be quarentined or deleted. That would be so much simpler than trying to create a myriad of varied filters. Anyone have any thoughts?
I need to know how to get the backup in proxmox to automatically remove the oldest backup once the backup limit has been met. I searched for this but couldn't find anything.
I have tried that but it doesn't stop. It just gives the error unexpected status. How do I quit the job without drastic measures like unmounting and rebooting nodes?
The issue is the email address and domain are always changing but the name Mindinsole does not. That is the filter I want to create. Otherwise I’m just trapped making an endless list of addresses and nothing is blocked until they recycle that address.
thanks. I'm looking for the phoney name that shows up in the sender, the reason is that the same phone name appears but it is always from a different email address. phoney name <email address>
I can't be the first person that has had emails go through that they would like to not have go through next time. It would be great on the tracker page if you could select an email that went through that you didn't want if you could click on it and maybe add it to a blacklist?
As for...
I am looking to see how accepted emails can be set for quarantine. I realize I can't change the ones delivered but I want to set a filter to block them in future. Additionally I would like to know how to block emails that have a language other than english in the body. Additionally I would...
So if I add this to the cron job, it will limit the backups to 5 or can I simply make it delete the oldest backup while still say retaining a fixed number, like say 30?
Got some errors on automated Proxmox VM backups. Backups now fail and I get a message saying backups are limited to 5. Where is this value set? Can it be changed to a larger number? Say 15?
If i undersand what I read, those are just backups of the Virtual machines. I already have that. What I am trying to do is back up the proxmox installation so should the server crash, I could just restore the entire server minus VMs and then restore the VMs.
It is in the cloud on a server I own in a DC. Thanks for the input. I do have somebody at the DC that can assist. I can have a new server configured and available within 20 min. The issue I am wanting to avoid is not having to reinstall the Proxmox app. I am wanting to be able to run a...
What I am seeking to avoid is having to pay to have Proxmox installed again. I want to be able to simply restore an image of the server minus the VMs. I understand that this is unconventional, But its what I want to do.
Thanks. I have backups of all the VMs. However I don't want to have to pay to hve Proxmox installed on a new server or a new drive on the existing server. Just trying to see how to best create a backup of proxmox that can just be copied to a new machine. Maybe it's not posible.
