MODERATOR REMOVAL: No valid subscription popup removal

.... that sounds like a sound (and valid) explanation to me, sorry. Tobias

MODERATOR REMOVAL: No valid subscription popup removal

I don't know the exact communication between you and the forum moderation team - so I can't tell much about it, sorry. Tobias

MODERATOR REMOVAL: No valid subscription popup removal

The forum is not under the GPL. Besides... it is a great resource for getting Help & Support - so in a way proxmox is already creating their own competition in providing such a resource. They don't check whether or not you have a (valid) subscription when asking questions in the forum. It is...

MODERATOR REMOVAL: No valid subscription popup removal

Agree to disagree. IMHO you should not have published this on proxmox' forum - that's all I am saying. You could have done that on your own website - google would have made sure everyone who wants it finds it. I fully understand why proxmox censored this. This forum is *not* the right place...

MODERATOR REMOVAL: No valid subscription popup removal

It's Proxmox' decision what they want to have on the forum - and what they don't want. If you post this on your own website it wouldn't be so much of an issue. If I may so: Proxmox has the rights to decide who's allowed to pee on their carpet. posting a howto how you can remove the "nag" is...

MODERATOR REMOVAL: No valid subscription popup removal

The question that arises here is: what do you want your subscription fee being used for: a) Development and providing good service or b) legal battles I have had to testify as an expert witness in such cases. Not funny, expensive and time consuming. I wish some open source projects would...

MODERATOR REMOVAL: No valid subscription popup removal

on that point I have to disagree - because I have seen otherwise numerous times. There are people out there who willingly try to scam their customers - minimum effort for maximum return - while remaining absolutely clueless. I won't go too much into detail but I have uncovered "rebranded" open...

MODERATOR REMOVAL: No valid subscription popup removal

Hi, in comparison to you I didn't post the "howto" :) Tobias P.S: Maybe my post is going to removed, too :-)

MODERATOR REMOVAL: No valid subscription popup removal

Hi, You could also create your own debian repo from this - but I would not recommend doing so if you are using the software for anything else but playing around. Proxmox is doing a great job - and the systems have been rock solid over the last 10 years. Hardly any hickups. I'm happy to pay...

    ProxmoxVE will change LICENCE?

I don't care what his intentions were - I just see the point of closing down a discussion about how tu circumvent what I see as a legal way of announcing that you're not having a valid license. On a different level, removing the warning could also be used to fool your customer into believing...

    ProxmoxVE will change LICENCE?

FULL ACK. Also, this is a memento to everyone trying to insult another forum member - you will be found :-)

    ProxmoxVE will change LICENCE?

That just shows how well maintained the forum is that you can find a 10 year old thread - and still reply to it. kind of proof that proxmox as such is providing stable software and know what they are doing :)

VM restore von PBS auf neu installierten PVE

Hi In der Theorie: Ja. Allerdings würde ich die Platten während der Neu-Installation unbedingt ausstecken / ausbauen. Tobias

Intel X710 based 10G NIC - properly supported?

Hi I'd rather go for that than for the 710. Tobias

noVNC VM restart after installation from ISO

Hi, Ah, now I get it. Maybe you could trigger the os status from the qemu-agent? At least once it's up and the agent is running you then could remove the ISO that way? Tobias

noVNC VM restart after installation from ISO

Hi, As I understand it you're triggering the sigkill instead of using the API... Have a look here: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/api-viewer/ With the API you can achieve what you're trying to do - IMHO a nicer way to script automatic deployment Tobias

Intel X710 based 10G NIC - properly supported?

Hi, I am not a huge fan of the x710 cards... we have run into various issues with those cards. If you can get a 5xx chip card or upgrade to a 10/25g card (SFP28 are backwards compatible to SFP+ - so they will run 10G Connections) Price-Wise they're about the same as the 5xx cards. CU Tobias
