Hello,
Currently I wanted to try lxc containers, but seen that there is not lxc command working in ssh, so do now know which commands are available and so?
Any help?
Thanks
Problems with lxc have already been told to you since you upgraded like the cpu limiting problems, or i/o and iops limiting that is already in openvz, and there are still there with no solution
Yes I am seing it... Good decision to say: Lets update proxmox to lxc which is now buggy instead of continuing updating openvz which is fine.
Thanks proxmox team, continue like that...
You are from proxmox staff member and you do not know in which part of proxmox code are the commands that execute the creation of a container? no matter if it is 4.3 or 3.x.
Also new proxmox uses lxc which has very serious bugs and it is not good for production that is why I am not going to move...
I do not want to use the version provided by proxmox because openvz is not updated, that is why I am updating its components, manually, and know I want to update the commands that proxmox send to vzctl
Hello,
I finded out that what is failing is proxmox vzctl creation command, can anyone please tell me how to edit this command:
vzctl create 104 --ostemplate centos-5-standard_5.8-1_i386.tar.gz
runned by proxmox to this one:
vzctl create 104 --ostemplate centos-5-standard_5.8-1_i386
Hello,
Any idea on how can I update vzctl and use it with proxmox? I could update it following openvz instructions, but I am having problems when creating a container:
vztmpl-dl ERROR: template /var/lib/vz/template/cache/centos-5-standard_5.8-1_i386.tar.gz not found!
Cached OS template...
I only see that now it is more based on redhat distributions, apart from that it is also being compatible with debian, and it is better than lxc that is currently having lots of bugs
Hello,
You say that you took out openvz and changed to lxc because openvz was not going to update more, but I am looking at their website and they continue updating it :/
So why did you change it?
Waiting your answer,
Pedro
Yes I know that version 4.X is running lxc, but lxc is not a star, for me at the moment is quite crap, that is why other virtualpanels are not using it, firstly because of the cpu limiting problems that is having. So sorry to tell you that I will continue using openvz
So then all the file systems are there and need to start that to access them? I can not open it with any other tool to watch inside? I am asking this because of not being able to start that machine maybe because the SO is corrupted or something
Ok, but what is the difference? or which one is...
Hello,
I read in another post that the kvm folder for the user data is in /var/lib/vz/images/xxx but there are only strange file formats ended in .qcow2 is that correct? or how can I access the data inside it?
Also wondering why in /var/lib/vz/ there are 2 folders containing the same data, the...
