That's extremely unfortunate. I got it to the point where it would not initialize the card until the VM was booted, but the issue still remains. When the VM is rebooted without rebooting the machine it still hangs.

Any further movement on this? I'm currently having the same issue and would love to find a solution to the problem.

So I have a new installation of Proxmox. The motherboard in question has 3 sata devices. I suspect that this is because it has 8 sata ports that are standard, and then two ports that require a SAS breakout cable to function. My hope is that each PCI device corresponds to one of these port...

When it rains it pours. First a bad PSU, and now my Sata DOMS ate it. This can be considered resolved. Hardware issue.

A further update. I'm not sure if this is something with my particular install or what. But I accidentally left it sitting at 0% for almost an hour. All the sudden it started installing. It ran up to 67% and now it is hanging again. It's not frozen, the Installer is still responsive, but...

Getting the same hang when attempting with a 6.3 install. Not sure what to do with this.

I am attempting to do a clean install of Proxmox 6.4 from a USB Drive. The installer boots up just fine, but once I enter all of the information and hit install it just hangs at Creating Partition. Not sure what's happening here. Will provide any requested information, or diagnostic output...

I actually think that I figured out the problem. It was an issue with the PSU causing some problems. Got it replaced and that issue seemed to resolve itself. Thanks for the help!
