Maybe try the jank route. Install 8.1 or what ever is the current highest proxmox on another device then see if it will boot using this hardware. I dont think your hardware judging from the post you linked is all that advanced plus some in that thread had older hardware. I think a solution has...
So there are a few versions of proxmox after 7.4.1 and each of them are shipped with a different kernel. Essentially, try the very newest version of proxmox as that will come with the highest kernel possible and give you the highest chance to avoid the initial error.
With regards to mentioning...
Yes I did - i had forgot i made this due to no response.
I learnt quite a lot trouble shooting this. The error indicates a missing driver which is caused by the kernel version for proxmox 7.4.1 which is older and doesnt have the proper requirements for newer hardware. I'm using a 12th gen I...
i get: Bluetooth: hci0: Failed to load Intel firmware file intel/ibt-1040-0041.sfi (-2) error that stops my install.
im on proxmox 7.4.1 install using an i5-12400 and MSI PRO B760M-A with 128gb ddr4 ram.
rest of the error reads;
Bluetooth: hci0: Failed to load Intel firmware file...
this really isnt very helpful. The only solution cannot be pay for someone to fix it. There are many issues that are raised on this forum that get replies for free.
if this post isnt gaining traction maybe head to the unofficial discord, many active users that will be willing to help. im...
very old but making sure i help tie off this thread if someone else sees this
you got to edit your interfaces file on your proxmox host;

and add this to the bottom away from the other lines (BUT CHANGE YOUR NETWORK "eno2":
post-up /sbin/ethtool -K eno2 tso off gso...

very suprised there are so few people doing this, i am also having the same issue. im running a dual 2011v3 super micro board with full IOMMU, i get the same issues on boot. did you ever fix this?
I have this issue for windows 10 vms with previous succssful gpu passthrough. im on proxmox 7.4-3
yes i have tried shutting down and also migrating back and fourth between nodes which has not worked either
i found the only other refference to this issue "Cluster Join Failed" on the germal national support section of proxmox that mentioned this might be the case
For anyone else with this issue - making sure your nodes are not named the same was the solution. Hopefully the vague error can be...
Hi there, i can confirm the issue was infact that my nodes shared the same name.
There is some official docs on changing your nodes name here;
https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Renaming_a_PVE_node
I am also having the exact same issue with an X79 Motherbaord, can you be a bit more specific about what setting in the bios you changed and what you changed it to?
To be more specific;
- I cant find a setting for "UEFI EXPOSURE"
- I cant see settings per PCIE lane to change CSM setting...

can anyone lend a hand? ive passed through several other gpus and ethernet pci cards with success to the same VM at one time so i doubt...
