Currently using "Virtual Environment 6.4-15" and also experiencing this issue. Was ignorable when it just disconnected and reconnected the Mouse and Keyboard, but after setting up a UPS it drops the connection every 5 minutes, which makes monitoring impossible.
Turned off auto start, on vmbr0 and vmbr1. Rebooted router and server.

That's why I was confused, because I specifically said this in the original post:
Good thing I never brought up utilizing non enterprise hardware in an enterprise environment:
I believe my original question has been answered at this point.
If I don’t, the internet drops out all together. Only enp9s0 is connected via a cable, and before adding enp9s0, enp2s0 and enp3s0 had the same IP, but only enp2s0 was connected via a cable. Edit: and it worked fine.
I can delete them, and loose internet access, but now I have no lan or wlan...
TL;DR I can ping 1.1.1.1, but I cannot ping the router on the same network, nor access the GUI from another computer.
I’ve changed NIC’s before, when I swapped motherboards, so I have solved this issue before, but I’m completely stumped with how my setup is currently broken. I know there is an...
My current array is HDD's, that's what I meant by SSD's being cost prohibitive. I assume you mean getting an enterprise SSD for the "special device" role. That does make sense. It would be pretty annoying spending the time caring for the HDD reliability, and then forgoing it for the SSD.
I'm...
It's a bit cost prohibitive to go full enterprise SSD's, so I guess I'd be interested in the SSD's for metadata, or SLOG route. I just don't know how to do that. If I add two drives to the system for that function, do I add them to the pool with a command, or is it done through the GUI?
What...
TL;DR: RAM cache pros/cons, and how to? Or SSD cache pros/cons, and how to? Optimal choice?
I don’t understand how to get more out of my array, and maybe someone can help me here, or point me in the right direction.
I have a RAIDZ2 setup on 2 vdevs 6x4TB. All drives are WD Red 4TB (WD40EFZX)...
Okay, I have returned access to the GUI, but the sharing of the second NIC is still outstanding.
I just don't want to have to default to visualizing a full Ubuntu install (the only way I know how to do what I want to do)
The results of systemclt status networking is
error: lo: lo: up cmd '/etc/network/if-up.d/route' failed: returned 127

I have an Asus Z8NA-D6C running Proxmox. It has dual 10Gbe. I have a second computer running Ubuntu 20.04. It has a single 10GBe. I have a 10GBe switch in another room, connected to multiple devices including the router.
My current setup is such that I only have one 10GBe port in the room the...
I can't find the answer, and maybe that's down to my poor google skills, but in regards to adding vdevs:
I have RAIDZ2 6x4TB created in the GUI. If I want to add more drives, would it be correct to use use "zpool add -f -o ashift=12 <pool> raidz2 /dev/sd* and then list 6x4TB drives? This would...
As far as I can tell, changing the graph to "Year (max)" the most utilization I've ever had is 38%. I can only hit 40% if I deliberatly scrub around a 10GB 4k video on plex, using the integrated graphics. Using two PC's I'd have room for a graphics card too I guess.
Thanks for breaking it down...
Well, not that it's not Important, just that the new stuff would be faster, so I wouldn't notice the difference. I've only noticed the difference, but I don't know if I should just get more ram, or use two computers.
I've considered it, but I have been unsuccessful replicating the same...
TL,DR: Buy 128GB of RAM for a i7 8700 system, or use two PC's, one for virtualization and one for storage without buying anything?
I recently upgraded my gaming PC, so I decided to use those components to "upgrade" my server, but I'm experiencing worse performance.
Old Components:
CPU: Dual...
