I'm going to upgrade the raid controller in my dell r710 from a perc 6/i to a h700.
I have searched around and found it is recommended to have a backup of all CT's, VM's and data. What is the best way to do that on Proxmox?
Should i setup a second proxmox and do a cluster to migrate...
I did the apt reinstall pve-manager. After it does the reinstall I see it reloads the themes back in. The terminal window scrolls through a script or something.
Will I need to remove something else?
I installed a dark theme following these instructions. https://lunar.computer/posts/themes-proxmox/ Its just not for me. Does anyone know how to remove all traces of it and return proxmox back to normal?
Perfect. That worked. Will this continue to work after a restart?
Now on to my next thing.
I have been reading over the docs and I don't see how to mount files from one LXC Container to another LXC Container. Is this possible?
So I installed a few CT's and a VM in PVE. They are all on the new Storage drive partitioned as a thin LVM.
Problem is that when I go to the "lxc.rootfs.path = /var/lib/lxc/110/rootfs" I do not see the files.
I was reading on the forums that this is what happens if you don't use ZFS.
Is there...
So I went ahead and created a HW Raid6 of all 8 drives. Installed PVE and did not enable zfs. I have installed a few CT's and VM's just trying it out.
All the Ct's and Vm's are installed in local-lvm with type LVM-Thin.
Maybe this is normal but my LVM shows as 99% used.
Is this the right...
I picked up a Used Dell R710 on the weekend to replace my desktop server running Proxmox.
The dell has 8 SAS 500G drives with a perc 6/i controller. 2 x Intel 5650 6 core processors with 128G of ram.
What is the best way to install Proxmox on this machine?
I was thinking to have two Raid 10's...
I see this in the logs:
Jul 03 16:57:51 pve pvedaemon[3659]: <root@pam> starting task UPID:pve:00002D59:00165C31:5D1D16CF:vzdelsnapshot:100:root@pam:

Jul 03 16:57:51 pve pvedaemon[11609]: zfs error: could not...
Yesterday I did a update of PVE all packages. Since then I cannot delete some of my CT snapshots. If I try to delete them it will say cannot delete and check the name of the CT and then locks the CT.
Now the status says "delete" but never does. Is anyone else seeing this?
I'm getting this "amdgpu powerplay pp_dpm_get_temperature was not implemented" in my system logs every second. Is this something to be concerned about and if it is does anyone know how to fix it?
Trying to install but I get this at the end. Is this normal?
All Done! - Now proceed to the next step.

Hello, I followed the above link and installed in pve last week. This morning I thought too try it out with a reboot. Now Proxmox will not start.
Plugged a monitor in and it is in emergency mode. I'm not sure what to do from here. Is there a way to remove the packages or look at a log to see...
I have a 2T WD disk that I'm adding to Proxmox using a usb to sata kit.
When I connect the drive it show in pve under disks but shows as unknown. When I try to Initialize Disk with GPT I get an error "command '/sbin/sgdisk /dev/sde -U R' failed: exit code 3"
Is there a way to get around this?
