I would like to migrate my LXC-Containers and VMs of my current Proxmox 4.4 server to a new server running Proxmox 5.2. Can someone recommend me the most simple way to do this? I thought about 2 strategies:
1. Create snapshots of my containers and vms and import them to the new server...
Concerning the CPU limit again. It now shows correctly the amount of CPUs in the container in htop but it still shows the CPU load of the hosts core, is it possible to show the containers cpu usage there?
Yes, but i dont know the password since i am using this api for client vms. I only want to be able to enable root login with password after creating a container. I want to execute the replace command on the host therefore
Yes, there is a simple solution. Do it like Fabian said: Only add the gateway once for net0 and let the field empty for the following network adapters and only fill out the ip address field. It should look like that:
After testing i found out, that as soon as only one lxc container is started the general io performance of the whole host becomes bad due to hard io spikes of jbd2 process. There must be a bug with handling/opening lxc containers in proxmox i think.
Can anyone here tell me an other solution...
i get this output for data=writeback :
root@srv02:~# mount -o remount,nobarrier,rw,noatime,errors=remount-ro,data=writeback /
mount: / not mounted or bad option
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so.
Was the chroot the only things that worked for you or do you know something different what could help? I have gameservers running on some vms and they are lagging like hell because of the io wait.
