  1. Import Proxmox 4.4 Containers and VMs to Proxmox 5.2

Hello, I would like to migrate my LXC-Containers and VMs of my current Proxmox 4.4 server to a new server running Proxmox 5.2. Can someone recommend me the most simple way to do this? I thought about 2 strategies: 1. Create snapshots of my containers and vms and import them to the new server...
  2. [Q] LXC configuration wizard: what is "CPU limit" & "CPU unit"?

Concerning the CPU limit again. It now shows correctly the amount of CPUs in the container in htop but it still shows the CPU load of the hosts core, is it possible to show the containers cpu usage there?
  3. Performance issue with Proxmox 4 - high IO delay

I could improve the general io performance by adding noatime, nobarrier, data=ordered options to the filesystem where the vms are stored. fsync before: 33,46 fsync after: 900-1200
  4. Proxmox execute command

Sorry, i did not read well. It does not allow to execute shell commands via the api right?
  5. Proxmox execute command

Amazing, i will have a look at this asap and give you feedback
  6. Proxmox execute command

Yes, but i dont know the password since i am using this api for client vms. I only want to be able to enable root login with password after creating a container. I want to execute the replace command on the host therefore
  7. Proxmox execute command

I also want to execute commands inside a container via the api. Is there an other solution than establishing an ssh connection to the node?
  8. Adding a second IP to a LXC Container

That look exactly like my configuration, i dont know anything else, sorry...
  9. Adding a second IP to a LXC Container

    From the node /etc/network/interfaces
  10. Adding a second IP to a LXC Container

I am using the same version. Can you share your hosts network configuration. Then i can compare it with my configuration, probably we can find an error there.
  11. Adding a second IP to a LXC Container

Do you have the latest proxmox version installed?
  12. Adding a second IP to a LXC Container

Yes that works for me and i have an ovh server too
  13. Adding a second IP to a LXC Container

Yes, there is a simple solution. Do it like Fabian said: Only add the gateway once for net0 and let the field empty for the following network adapters and only fill out the ip address field. It should look like that:
  14. Performance issue with Proxmox 4 - high IO delay

After testing i found out, that as soon as only one lxc container is started the general io performance of the whole host becomes bad due to hard io spikes of jbd2 process. There must be a bug with handling/opening lxc containers in proxmox i think. Can anyone here tell me an other solution...
  15. Performance issue with Proxmox 4 - high IO delay

Thanks, barrier=0 and data=writeback does not improve the performance. I will do some mores tests
  16. Performance issue with Proxmox 4 - high IO delay

I dont have the file /etc/mount should i just create it then?
  17. Performance issue with Proxmox 4 - high IO delay

i get this output for data=writeback : root@srv02:~# mount -o remount,nobarrier,rw,noatime,errors=remount-ro,data=writeback / mount: / not mounted or bad option In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try dmesg | tail or so.
  18. Performance issue with Proxmox 4 - high IO delay

Okay, thanks. I tried this command, it helped a bit but still not that good: mount -o remount,nobarrier,rw,noatime,errors=remount-ro,data=ordered / I will try data=writeback
  19. Performance issue with Proxmox 4 - high IO delay

Was the chroot the only things that worked for you or do you know something different what could help? I have gameservers running on some vms and they are lagging like hell because of the io wait. See my io delay
