  1. My headless Proxmox server keeps going offline

I probably upgraded kernels when I updated to beta3. I'm not sure, since I usually don't pay much attention to kernel version. How do I downgrade?
  2. My headless Proxmox server keeps going offline

I am a little bit confused on how to interpret the results of pveversion -v in terms of the kernel version. It seems to say both 2.6.32-6-pve and 2.6.32-54. Here are the results from running it. root@proxmox:~# pveversion -v pve-manager: 2.0-14 (pve-manager/2.0/6a150142) running kernel...
  3. My headless Proxmox server keeps going offline

My kernel is 2.6.32-6-pve. I have a quad core AMD Phenom CPU. I'm don't remember the model number.
  4. My headless Proxmox server keeps going offline

Are there any other logs that could be useful?
  5. My headless Proxmox server keeps going offline

Here is the aforementioned logfile. http://pastebin.com/N7csVVPU Thanks for your help.
  6. My headless Proxmox server keeps going offline

Which logs do you need in particular?
  7. My headless Proxmox server keeps going offline

Lately (maybe since around beta 2 or 3) my Proxmox VE 2.0 server keeps going off of the network every few days or so. I have to go and press the reset button on the server. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there anything I can do to fix the issue? Thanks in advance.
  8. Where did the names of the VMs go?

I rebooted the server and everything works fine now.
  9. Where did the names of the VMs go?

In proxmox VE 2.0 beta 1, in the list of VMs on the side, after each VM number, the VM name was in parenthesis. Now, the VM name isn't there, so I am forced to distinguish between VMs based solely on number. Is this just me, or did you take away this handy feature? Thanks in advance.
  10. UI Changes

OK, but are you expecting to actually have the overall look and feel be any different? As in, will I be able to take a quick look at the stable version vs the current version and notice any difference? It is good to know that you are steadily adding features though.
  11. UI Changes

Can we expect to see any major revisions to the UI before 2.0 goes stable?
  12. External VNC Client

I believe that the roadmap says that we are supposed to be able to use an external VNC client now. How do I do this?
  13. Some sort of virtual router, like pfSense or Smoothwall

You have got to get this great information on the ipfire and proxmox wikis.
  14. Some sort of virtual router, like pfSense or Smoothwall

Also, the md5 checksum for the x86 version should be 31b9e360450eace26f1fee7923d70896
  15. Some sort of virtual router, like pfSense or Smoothwall

pfsense is good if you can get it to work with proxmox. smoothwall isn't bad either, though it seems to be less full featured.
  16. Some sort of virtual router, like pfSense or Smoothwall

Actually, Untangle was the one router distro that worked for me. However, it took forever to boot, was a bit sluggish, and had too many features that you had to pay for. My advice with your issues though: Check the MD5sum of the iso. You might have gotten a corrupted download.
  17. Roadmap for Proxmox VE 2.0

On the network model wiki page, it says, "Physical NIC (eg., eth1) cannot currently be made available exclusively for a particular KVM / Container , ie., without bridge and/or bond." Will this be made possible with 2.0? It would really simplify setting up a virtual router. In particular I am...
  18. Some sort of virtual router, like pfSense or Smoothwall

Oh so you used VLANs? I haven't experimented with them at all. How would they help me to accomplish that?
  19. Questions about replacing the primary proxmox install drive.

I would have to assume that that would work. I can't think of a reason it wouldn't anyways. For cloning, use Clonezilla or Easeus Disk Copy. Good luck!!
