Just upgraded to Virtual Environment 4.4-12/e71b7a74
It seems the change breaks PCI passthrough, those erros are in system log and the intel quad port gigabit network adapter no longer works in the guest:
[ 0.320272] pci 0000:03:00.0: can't claim BAR 6 [mem 0xffc00000-0xffffffff pref]...
systemd Cannot add dependency job for unit cgmanager.service and display-manager.service
Hi, upgrade to the new Virtual Environment 4.4-12/e71b7a74 version and noticed those fail warnings in the system log, should I be worried of those? Not sure if those exists in the old version.
Sometimes my lxc vms will hang after start, only blank starting console without any ouput;
or the console stopped at the 'connected to tty1' ctrl+a q, ctrl + a a, promot and not continue to give the login in promot, (can login via ssh most of the time.)
What could be the problem?
Does passing through harddisk disable the vm's snapshot functionality?
I have a vm, used to be able to take snapshots fine.
But now the snapshot button is greyed out.
The only special point I can think of is it has passing through harddisks.
So with passing though hd, can I still do...

How to downgrade to a lower version, without backing up the vm files and confs?

I guess ZFS over iSCSI would be better than just use iSCSI share + LVM on top of the iSCSI share,
since it gives the benifit of easy snapshot and clone right?
So I have a new installation of FreeNAS to provide iSCSI.
Is it best to use a new zvol and device type extend
or a new dataset...
While passthrough the hard drive to the kvm guest, am I supposed to use virtio or scsi mode for best IO performance?
The device is identified as scsi0 and scsi1 , so what I used is
qm set 103 -scsi0 /dev/disk/by-id/ata-ST3000DM001-XXXXXXX
qm set 103 -scsi1...
