Thank for you answer; but unfortunately when I pass 04:00 the pfSense cannot find any network interfaces ... (it should work as it works when I pass second port only)

I bought ASRock J4105M (micro ATX) with 3 PCIe (2 x x1 and 1 x x16 (logically x1)) and passing through for network and dell perc h310 raid card working properly. Act as NAS/router/home automation combo ;-) Also works with PCIe to NVME adapter as system disk.
  4. OpenMediaVault installation in LXC with attached HW block device

Inside container there's /dev/sdc and /dev/sdb. Maybe there's problem that my drives are formated as whole /dev/sdb (and /dev/sdc) but not contains any partition. I would like not to reformat them due to that they contain big amount of data.
  5. OpenMediaVault installation in LXC with attached HW block device

I have two main problems: my filesystems does not mount after restart container, I have two 3TB drives seen as /dev/sdb and /dev/sdc formated whole device (/dev/sdx) not partition. (existing system is ext4 and owner is root:root) they mount perfectly by gui, but not by container config arch...
  6. Is this right hardware for passthrough?

Thank you for your answer. But honestly I would stick to something more versalite. I also thought about Xeon E3 1235L (25W TDP) and some C236 chipset motherboard. But I think I will stick with Asrock J5005-ITX so far. At the end of this month I will buy it and let you know how everything is working.
  7. Is this right hardware for passthrough?

Right. But only on APU not APU2 ... which is better.
  8. Is this right hardware for passthrough?

But PCEngines APU (know them, I have buch of Alix 2d2) support only 1 SATA - no data redundancy. I'm testing right now Banana PI R2 which seems to be not bad. Thank you again.
  9. Is this right hardware for passthrough?

First I would like to achieve as low power server as I could. Should act as NAS, router and home automation server. So I thought I will do virtualization as my option for router distro is pfSense or OpenWRT. I know any of these can act as NAS but don't know if I can run Home Assistant...
  10. Proxmox 5.2 Gemini Lake and IGD (graphics) passthrough for Ubuntu 18

Hello, I'm planning to buy Asrock J5005-ITX motherboard for home server. Can anyone test if PCIe card (any - in my case it will be Intel 2 port GbE) can be passed through to VM? I would use pfSense as router on proxmox VM. Thank you for any answer.
  11. Is this right hardware for passthrough?

Hello, I would like to invest as a little to get low power usage virtualization host. I would like to pass to VM / container: SATA hard drives, all 4 network cards, sound card and various USB devices (that could be done easly) and maybe iGPU (not necessary) Proxmox will be on m2 drive...

  13. OpenMediaVault installation in LXC with attached HW block device

I did it but have more problems: I can mount and umount both dane1 and dane2 filesystems, without errors (inc. apply of course) but when I try to format umounted dane2 this is what I get: Device '/dev/dm-0' does not exist. this is less important, but when I would like to make a share from dane2...

  16. OpenMediaVault installation in LXC with attached HW block device

U used latest debian template (9.3.1), and latest OMV 4.1.4-1 Arrakis. First I had no errors installing OMV in container (I did not have to mount container volume and finish installing in chrooted environment nor comment line in avahi config) one more quiestion: when I would like to use in omv...
