One last thing, is multipath works with this configuration ?
Eache node will be direct attached to both array controlers :
hba port1 -> scv2020 controlerA port 1
hba port2 -> scv2020 controlerB port 1
hba port1 -> scv2020 controlerA port 2
hba port2 -> scv2020 controlerB port 2
I have a new virtualization project. And of course I will install proxmox !
- 2 nodes cluster (No HA)
- Shared storage
2 x Dell r440 :
CPU : Intel Xeon Silver 4114
RAM : 24 Go
Disks : RAID 1, SSD 120 Go
Internal storage controler : H730P+
External storage controler : HBA SAS...
I would like to know if I can set up a 2 nodes cluster with proxmox 5.1 ?
My idea is to create a cluster with two nodes and use the replication feature in case of failure of the node1.
I was thinking of :
- nodes1 : proxmox 5.1
- nodes2 : proxmox 5.1...
I got the same problem. I have an old IBM DS3400 with two controllers.
I could not make it work in our testing node Proxmox 5.1 on "direct attach", it shows the same error "Issue Nameserver....".
If I installed proxmox 4.4, I can see my LUN.
With Proxmox 5.1, I found that if I add a...
Thanks for these informations.
Today the windows 10 VM crashed again.
Before the crash, the load average of the PVE server was around "4".
This is due to the cpu usage of the windows 10 vm (50% of 6 vCPU)
Please see below the cpu usage of the windows VM for the last month :
On my proxmox cluster, I have a windows 10 VM.
Since one month, the VM has freezes 3 times. From the proxmox console I can't login (ctrl+alt+sup). The login page is stuck.
The only way to fix it is to stop/start the VM.
Ok thanks I understand.
Is it possible to migrate my VMs using this way :
Old Proxmox server :
1 - Stop VM
2 - rsync qcow2 disk to the new proxmox server in an temp directory
New Proxmox server :
1 - Create a VM with the same disk space
2 - Remove the disk...
I need to backup my VMs in order to restore them to an other proxmox server.
I tried to backup using the local storage but I have this error :

I need to convert a disk from raw to vmdk.
The VM operating system is a Centos 5
So I tried :
1 - to clone the VM and change the disk to "vmdk"
2 - to clone the disk using qemu-img :
qemu-img convert -f raw -O vmdk vm-204-disk-1.raw vm-2044-disk1.vmdk
My problem is my system file is...
I already tried the same Vm with an other proxmox with local storage.
I observed the same behavior.
I installed a windows 2012 and windows 2016 with no performance issue.
It seems that the problem is only on the windows 10.
