  1. VLAN routing between Hypervisor network and storage network

From what I can tell most storage solution have their own dedicated network that is segregated from the hypervisor network. With that said... Will I even need VLAN or network routing in general to make my hypervisor network and storage network to talk?

    okay.. Sounds good. Thanks everyone!
  3. Ceph cluster storage / RAID Controller Or Dell r710

I can't decide which direction to go.. I really like the idea of a SSD booting the OS and another SSD for the journal due to write/read being so fast.. But. I'm concerned that it's not redundant. In the Ceph Server guide they recommend the SSD route.. I guess I need to flip a coin and decide?!

  6. Ceph cluster storage / RAID Controller Or Dell r710

I read the Wiki at https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Ceph_Server and their config doesn't show a RAID controller. If I where to use a Dell r710 or a r420 would I simply put the RAID controller in passthrough mode or not have one at all?
