  1. IPv6 for Host and virtual machines

Any updates on supporting IPv6 with proxmox?
  2. Proxmox Interface removing IPv6 configuration (OpenVZ Container)

Proxmox-Version: 2.3-12 When adding some other IPv4-Addresses via the proxmox Interface to a container, the v6 configuration gets removed. (one can set it again with vzctl set <VMID> --save --ipadd <IP-Addr>) As far as I can see, there's still no bit of v6 support added to proxmox (besides the...
  3. HDD space gets counted twice

Thank you, Udo! There are MANY files tagged with (deleted) ... I'll write a script soon to parse the output, to see how much this really is ... But at least i know where all the disk space is gone to :-) Is there a way to get rid of these files without closing the apache2 process?
  4. HDD space gets counted twice

There's just too much output and all entries seem to be related to apache2 somehow .... I have no idea what the output means, so I'll just post part of it here: lsof: no pwd entry for UID 109 lsof: no pwd entry for UID 109 lsof: no pwd entry for UID 109 .... lsof: no pwd entry for UID 109 lsof...
  5. HDD space gets counted twice

So which further information do you need to solve the problem? I have several servers, also with a different hardware, where the problem occures. They are all SSD servers if that's relevant.
  6. HDD space gets counted twice

It seems no one really cares about the problem, although there is definitely a problem with proxmox ... :(
  7. HDD space gets counted twice

    Same as before: root@de-fra1-c10:/var/lib/vz# du -shx * 4.0K dump 4.0K images 4.0K lock 16K lost+found 23G private 128K root 571M template Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/mapper/pve-root 30G 855M 27G 4% / tmpfs 7.9G 0...
  8. HDD space gets counted twice

Thank you for your response! I think the problem is that everything gets symlinked in /var/lib/vz/root, the actual files are located in /var/lib/vz/private. However, with df -h, also the symlinked files get counted, although they don't even exist. So the files get counted twice as you can see...
  9. HDD space gets counted twice

Hey! I got a problem with the current proxmox installation (problem also existed on 2.1 installations as far as i know). On all my servers with proxmox installed (the default installation image from the website) the HDD space gets counted twice. Here's the proof: root@de-fra1-c10:/var/lib/vz#...
  10. IPv6 in proxmox?

When will IPv6 get supported with proxmox? It can't be that hard to integrate into the webinterface, just add two tabs (IPv4/IPv6) to the "Edit Bridge/Network Device" where in one you can add several IPv6 addresses, the Subnet Mask (e.g. /48) and the gateway. Same as you already do with IPv4...
  11. IPv6 in Proxmox VE 2.0 still missing

My intention is to run some OpenVZ servers with native IPv6 only because I don't need them to be accessible via IPv4. Most of them would run dual stacked, but still with native IPv6 and native IPv4. No tunneling methods come in place. So I thought about a configuration interface where you can...
  12. vServer IP's in different subnet

Hi there. I just wondered how to configure the proxmox host system and vservers when the OpenVZ servers are in a different subnet than the host system itself. My host system is in 91.143.81.0/24 with the gateway 91.143.81.1 OpenVZ servers have IP addresses out of 91.143.93.0/24 with the default...
  13. IPv6 in Proxmox VE 2.0 still missing

I just gave the new Proxmox VE 2.0 a try and there's still no support for IPv6 in Proxmox VE 2.0 :( As you can see, I got it already working with earlier versions: http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/6436-IPv6-for-Host-and-virtual-machines?p=36537#post36537 I don't think it's that hard to run these...
  14. IPv6 for Host and virtual machines

Your gateway is wrong. The Gateway is 2001:41d0:2:91ff:ff:ff:ff:ff and NOT 2001:41d0:2:917c:ff:ff:ff:ff ! So just delete the route ::/0 2001:41d0:2:917c:ff:ff:ff:ff UG 1024 0 151 vmbr0 (ip -6 ro del default via 2001:41d0:2:917c:FF:FF:FF:FF dev vmbr0) and change the...
  15. IPv6 for Host and virtual machines

You have to change my example script provided here: http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/6436-IPv6-for-Host-and-virtual-machines?p=36537#post36537 The following lines should enable ipv6 for you:#! /bin/sh ip -6 ro add 2001:41D0:2:91FF::/64 dev vmbr0 ip -6 ro add default via...
  16. Roadmap for Proxmox VE 2.0

Are there plans to support IPv6 right through the webinterface? Currently it's a bit tricky to get it working for VM's.
  17. IPv6 for Host and virtual machines

Thank you, cmn for your answer. I finally managed to get IPv6 working for the host system and the vservers! At first I added the things you gave me to the interfaces file, but that only set me the IP address, not the gateway. (weird) So I searched around again through several websites, and...
  18. IPv6 for Host and virtual machines

I get this error when trying the command you gave me when there's no gateway and no route over vmbr0 for ::/0: I just give you some output, so you can see what the problem may be: root@ks380351:~# route -6 Kernel-IPv6-Routentabelle Destination Next Hop Flag...
  19. IPv6 for Host and virtual machines

I'm sorry, I noticed that the gateway is in fact 2001:41D0:2:C4FF:FF:FF:FF:FF and not 2001:41D0:2:CFF:FF:FF:FF:FF. So it seems to work now, but only if I enter these commands in the exact order: route -6 add ::/0 dev vmbr0 route -6 add default gw 2001:41D0:2:C4FF:FF:FF:FF:FF route -6 del ::/0...
  20. IPv6 for Host and virtual machines

Yeah, at first I tried to use vmbr0, then eth0 because vmbr0 did not work. I changed it back to vmbr0 then and edited my post a few seconds later because I copied the old settings ;) But still it does not work, same error:root@ks380351:~# ping6 ipv6.google.com PING...
