remote vnc viewer

did my first 2.* install today, and as my FF keeps crashing i went on trying to run a remote vnc as one did in 1.9.

But i cant get it to work. just getting a black page.

A small howto and a explanation on what changed would be really good.

(yes i did search the forum before asking, but did not find any solution ).

I just tried to add this to wiki, but could not log in. I use this and not the wiki page that I mostly wrote.
