Hi Zusammen,

ich habe im letzten Jahr Proxmox 5.4 auf meinem HomeLab-Server installiert und alles hat schön funktioniert - auch PCI passthrough.

Nun musste ich den Server neu installieren und habe natürlich Proxmox 6.0 dafür genommen. Und damit hat das Problem angefangen: Sobald ich versuche, meinen HBA (LSI 92-irgendwas, IR Firmware, JBOD) an eine VM durchzureichen, kommt folgender Hinweis:

No IOMMU detected, please activate it.See Documentation for further information.

Nun gibt es tolle Anleitungen von Proxmox, die ich auch alle durchgeführt habe, allerdings erfolglos.

Was ich bisher gemacht habe:

/etc/modules

vfio
vfio_iommu_type1
vfio_pci
vfio_virqfd

/etc/defaults/grub

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet intel_iommu=on"

update-initramfs -u -k all

Im BISO (Supermicro X9SRA) gibt es außer VT-d keine weitere Einstellungen bezüglich IOMMU. Habt ihr eine Idee, wie ich das in den Griff bekomme?

nur sicherheitshalber - wenn an '/etc/default/grub' was verändert wird muss `update-grub` ausgeführt werden...
steht denn 'intel_iommu=on' in '/proc/cmdline'?

Zur Sicherheit habe ich "update-grub" nochmal ausgeführt und die Maschine neu gestartet. Leider keine Besserung.

cat /proc/cmdline

BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-5.0.15-1-pve root=/dev/mapper/pve-root ro quiet intel_iommu=on

Wurde IOMMU auch in den PVE-Vorgängerversionen genutzt? Oder ist das ein Feature, das erst mit Version 6.0 kam? Wenn dem so wäre, dann vermute ich, dass meine Chipsatz (Intel C602) einfach kein IOMMU unterstützt. Das wäre echt blöd :(

habe eben nochmal alles gecheckt (aber nichts verändert), "update-initramfs -u -k all" und "update-grub" ausgeführt - und jetzt geht es. Ich bin glücklich :)
