The uptime in the GUI shows the wrong uptime for the vms and cts.

For example i have a vm with about 250 days uptime and proxmox is reporting 3 days uptime. 3 days ago i installed the last 5.x updates and rebooted all hosts.

Any ideas how to get the correct uptime?

Do you mean the OS in the VM shows the wrong uptime, or the PVE GUI?

I'm afraid this is correct behaviour. We cannot know a VMs uptime, since on (live) migration the QEMU process is restarted. The GUI can only show you the runtime of the QEMU process.

If you need the VMs internal uptime (which, for what its worth, can be misleading if you ever suspended the VM or your clock is unstable) you have to check inside the VM itself.

I just noticed this as well. We have some Windows VMs with uptimes showing over 50 days even though they are rebooted frequently. However we also have VMs that WILL show the correct uptime.

We have the latest QEMU agent installed virtio-win-0.1.208 - why cant the agent relay the correct info?
