RAM Auslastung nach ceph Upgrade auf 12.2.10

Nach dem Upgrade ist die Speicherauslastung der Server auf 100% gestiegen und auch die Swap-Partition ist schnell voll.

In den Release Notes findet sich

The bluestore_cache_* options are no longer needed. They are replaced
by osd_memory_target, defaulting to 4GB. BlueStore will expand
and contract its cache to attempt to stay within this
limit. Users upgrading should note this is a higher default
than the previous bluestore_cache_size of 1GB, so OSDs using
BlueStore will use more memory by default.

Gibt bei Anpassung des osd_memory_target in der ceph.conf etwas unter Proxmox etwas spezelles zu berücksichtigen?

sieht eigentlich okay aus, hast du die Services mal rebootet? So dass die neue Config auch geladen wird. Oder was ist genau das Problem?

gar kein Problem bisher.
Habe mich nur etwas gewundert, das ich nirgends davon hier gelesen habe. Das der OSD Cache von 1GB auf 4GB geändert wird kam für mich zumindest etwas überraschend.

Nunja, grundsätzlich wird CEPH nicht von Proxmox entwickelt - ich denke daher nicht, dass Proxmox den Auftrag hat die Benutzer über jegliche Änderungen an iSCSI, ZFS, NFS, CEPH etc. pp. zu informieren. Letztlich macht das CEPH ja auch nicht im Bezug auf Proxmox
