qdevice for a scaleable cluster

Hi,
at the moment we are using a cluster of 2 nodes. To achieve a quorum I would like to follow the approach of

in a VM. The post says exactly:

Note that we highly recommend the ff-split algorithm! This means
implicit that it should be only
done in clusters with an even-numbered member count.
The integration in Proxmox VE was a bit delayed with the PVE 5 release,
I try to pick it up soon again.

But I would like to have the possibility to add more nodes to the cluster later. What setting do I need to configure?

nodes for quorum must be physical. Using a VM for quorum is dangerous and plain stupid.

why is a vm a bad idea if this vm is used in an environment other than the proxmox cluster?

in a different environment it should be ok, i did it also for migrations.
On the same cluster it is stupid of course
