Proxmox 4.4 pveam update fails

Apologies to all, I am an absolute beginner seeking some help...

pveam update fails, log file attached (cannot paste since log file contains URLs)

I tried searching but I cannot seem to find anything.

Did you try wget one of the files to see if your machine has proper internet connectivity?

You set me thinking, and I eventually found that I had VERY poor connectivity because of a MAC Address conflict on the switching infrastructure. I need assistance with this, but since the remainder of this thread would not be correctly represented by the title of this one, I am closing this and opening another with another more appropriate subject.
