Hi,

I have two proxmox installation, one with

Linux 4.4.15-1-pve #1 SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux

and one old with

Linux 2.6.32-37-pve #1 SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux

Now I have problems installing a VM on the new version. The eth0 link doesn't come up.

I tried the same configuration on the old environment and it works. The network card I have chosen is the Intel E1000. On the faulty installation I have tried as well all the other available cards.

All cards are being recognised by the system, during this procedure the link is up and it can detect network traffic through tcpdump. But when I complete the installation and then assign the IP and I do an 'ip a' the link is down.

Is there a bug - are there any other options? I cannot understand why this works in the old and not in the new.

Thank you
