Hi there,

is there any possibility to build up a network which spans over x nodes? What I want is that VM's on different hosts can reach each other.

What would be the recommended method to do so?

I'm in an evaluation phase to find a hypervisor to switch from XenServer 6.2 which has an option to do this with an openvSwitch controller.

Any suggestions are welcome!

Hello gnome.gemini,

we have realised such an inter-box communication between KVM-Boxes on different Proxmox hosts just by the standard bridge on each host. (A Jenkins server is running on one host and deploys into boxes on a different host.)

For security reasons you might consider using internal ip-adresses in your but you also can have a communication via gateways between different networks. The internal/private ip addresses are just configured as usual as eth0:0 on the KVM-Box.

With best regards,

Andreas
