Hi all,
We installed a new server for a customer.
Specs:
CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2630v3 (8C with HT)
RAM: 64 GB
Disks: 6x Samsung 850 PRO's in Dell Raid 6
Proxmox 3.4-6 (native install)
It has 5 virtual machines
1 Pfsense firewall
4 Windows Server's (1 DC - 1 SQL - 1 Application - 1 RDS)
The company has 15 users with Thin Clients.
The RDS is a problem. It had from install 4 cores assigned with 4gb of memory. In perfmon it spiked every time a user logged on so we changed that to 16GB memory and 16 cores (with numa)
Now it does not spike anymore, but it still is laggy which is not fun at all.
So, solutions? Switching the cpu-type to host?
Has it something to do with the cpuflags? I read something about the enforcement flag in proxmox 4.0 (beta)
So your help is really appreciated
