iSCSI: storage '<name>' is not online, VM working, no possibility to backup and/or migrate

No one has experienced the same issue? No suggestions? :( It seems to me that this is a strange Proxmox behavior, maybe a bug? The ISCSI volumes are online and running, but the system reports they are down and doesn't allow managing the VMs and using the web interface.

iSCSI: storage '<name>' is not online, VM working, no possibility to backup and/or migrate

Hello! I'm running a PVE 5.2 cluster with 4 nodes. The cluster is attached to a SAN, an HP P2000 G3 iSCSI. VMs are hosted on the SAN. The first controller of the SAN failed. Everything is running on the second controller, but I can't manage PVE anymore. Although VMs are running, it seems that...

Slow Windows Server 2012 R2 guests (becoming faster during interactive use)

Hello everybody! I've the following problem and I'd like to understand whether it's something "usual" or if I'm doing something wrong. I've some small guests running Windows Server 2012 R2, with 32 GB disk hosted on a SAN, 1 socket, 2 cores, 1 GB RAM, 2 virtual NICs. The hosts run a software...

Multpath link to SAN for concurrent VMs with high and constant writing rates

Not sure I understood correctly your suggestion. At the moment there's not filesystem involved anymore. I was using EXT3 before, mounting each LUN in a folder, but now I removed that filesystem layer by adding directly the VGs to the PROXMOX's storage view as LVM storage. This seemed to improve...

Multpath link to SAN for concurrent VMs with high and constant writing rates

I'm back! Many thanks to everybody for the suggestions. Regarding the discussion about LACP I was using it only for the "stream network", on 2 aggregated ports, each one linked to a different Juniper switch. Both switches are part of a so called "Virtual Chassis", that is they appear as they...

Multpath link to SAN for concurrent VMs with high and constant writing rates

Many thanks for your reply NdK73. I will try your suggestions. In the meanwhile I also contacted Enhance in order to get the parameters to use in the configuration of the iSCSI targets that perform best with their machine...let's see whether they answer. What do you mean? Sorry for my probably...

Multpath link to SAN for concurrent VMs with high and constant writing rates

Hello everybody, I'm new to PROXMOX and to Linux/iSCSI/multipath in general, I'm trying to learn, therefore I'm asking for your suggestions in order to tune my system, or maybe change approach if you have better ideas. It will be a long post... :) I'm trying to set up PROXMOX on a server...
