Hi,
I read through the User Management KB article to get some background info and applied that below.
I am currently running version 5.4.13.
I created a new group -> users.
I created a new user account -> user1, and assigned it the new group.
I then added a new permission for the @users group...
Hi All,
Before someone says RTFM, it has been done as well as several threads in this forum. Either I'm missing something or it has not been clearly defined in any of those sources.
So what I would like to clarify is how the different firewall layers (datacenter, node, VM) impact each other...
I agree with you but it is what it is. So somewhere in your code the value being fetched for available is wrong or mismatched. All the commands were executed exactly as you gave them and the results accordingly.
:) don't worry i also missed it. i was doing a quick check on why it was failing and didn't even think about the closing '
anyway here is the result:
$VAR1 = {
'avail' => undef,
'total' => '9594620096512',
'used' => '1125899906842624'
};
No problem, I don't mind assisting :)

pvestatd[1675]: Use of uninitialized value $avail in int at /usr/share/perl5/PVE/Storage.pm line 1158.
Line 1158 deals with...
Hi,
I can't seem to find any documentation detailing the difference between the virtio and the virtio single scsi controller types for KVM VMs. Has anybody got a link or can perhaps briefly explain when you would use the one or the other?
Thanks.

Wolfgang according to your corrected post you indicated that datacenter rules apply to nodes but not also automatically to the vms on those nodes. I have been configuring a test environment and...
Okay, slight problem... everything seemed to be working okay after the change to Linux bridges but upon closer inspection of the network interfaces at both a physical and virtual layer I found the following:
- No packet transmission or receiving errors on any physical nics connected to the...
After having performed various tests and closely monitoring what's happening on the Proxmox host, I decided to change the network config from open vswitch to standard linux bridges. Retested all the items in the testing matrix and everything was solved!
The only difference between the two...
Hi,
We have been using open vswitch since its introduction in 3.x without any problems. We have just deployed a new 4.1 server with exactly the same networking configuration as we had before on 3.4. In syslog we are now getting a huge number of incorrect mtu size errors for one of the vswitch...
