Hi T., your suggestions do not seem to work. The only working remedy seemed to be to switch to IDE, so that is what we did. I will launch a support ticker for this so you guys are aware of what is going on.
Answering my own question for the rest of the world: I was using iSCSI LUNs directly. It's better not to do that and have LVM logical volumes on the LUNs. Even better is to throw multipathing in the mix.
