I'll give you my example with our Dell servers (from the Dell T150). The system (vmware, proxmox) is installed on the Dell BOSS-S1 card. Hardware RAID-1 SSD M2 240GB or 480GB. For the rest we use HDD and SSD disks in the classic way for the datastore.

But another problem, start with 2GB Memory but got timeout error with 4GB Memory. Another VM Windows 7 without graphical accelerator start with 4GB Memory I tried with and without ballooning, same error.

ok thanks fo your answer. I disable successfully the nvidia hdmi audio with this command : echo '1' > /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:07:00.1/remove now the VM start and works !
