Hi!

We are using Proxmox 1.9, we want to use NetApp FAS2240-4 storage solution.
Can we use NFS share for storing OpenVZ containers mounting /var/lib/vz folder to NFS share and use Live migration and snapshot backup's?
Instead of vzdump snapshot backups we can use NetApp LUN snapshots, do any of Proxmox users have experience using this method of backups for OpenVZ containers?

Is it possible to store different OpenVZ containers on different LUN's on NetApp for using different LUN snapshot policy in NetApp?

I'll be grateful for answers
Have a nice day! ;)

move to 2.x. here we support NFS for containers. live migrations should work theoretically (there is still an annoying bug)

backup will work in suspend mode (very short halt of the CT), LVM snapshots are not possible.

no issues for KVM guests. you cannot use iSCSI for containers.
