Migration from proxmox to ...

Hello everyone,

I already saw there's a guide for migrating virtual machines to proxmox.
I'm looking for the oposite. My company decided it would only allow VMware ESXi as virtualisation platfrom and get rid of the rest (proxmox, virtualbox, Hyper-V, ...).
I'm having some trouble with migrating away from proxmox. Does anyone has some experience with this?

I already tried vmware converter, but that seems to get stuck at the disk information. So far I've only tried it on OpenVZ linux machines running on proxmox.
I haven't been able to find out how to attach a cd image to the VMs (if that's even possible), but that would help a lot since I can do an offline migration then.
Any help or tips would be appreciated.

Regards,

JanR

why don´t you ask the vmware support for moving to their solution?

I am sure they have a bunch of experts which can help here!

I already asked there. And proxmox is such a success that no one ever heard of it.
