Good day I am new to proxmox and today I installed version 8.0.3 all because of my cryostasis towards making backups.
I'm trying to install Borg on a container with S.O Debian but I can't install it as it gives me errors like this:

I also tried to install it on pve and the installation was successful my question at this point is how can I get Borg to run on the container as well ? I repeat that I am really at the beginning with both Proxmox and Linux, thanking in advance greetings

This looks like a network problem in your guest. Please check the network configuration or firewall settings.

@LnxBil thanks for the answer, but then how come in pve the ugrade and update with apt downloading borg went fine , while in container it gave me these errors being in debian anyway ?

Hi,

but then how come in pve the ugrade and update with apt downloading borg went fine , while in container it gave me these errors being in debian anyway ?
The host-network and the network inside the container are two separate things.

What is the network configuration on the host, as well as inside the container? (So the output of both ip address and ip route on the host and inside the container).

Do you have a firewall configured on the network?

Edit:

Why do you have Proxmox repositories configured inside a LXC container?

Problem was your missing gateway.

Great to hear you could solve your problem yourself!

Please just mark the thread as solved by editing the first post - there should be a dropdown near the title field. This helps other people with the same problem to more easily find this thread in the future! :)
