Hello ladies & gentlemen,

Would like to know if possible i buy a n100 mini pc to install proxmox and run two VE?
1. Truenas for small company usage
2. Windows Server to install some software and let user to access true remote server?

Your help is much appreciated!

Hey,

if by VE you mean virtual machine then sure. Considering the HW budget this won't be the most reliable system.

If you search the web you'll find numerous reviews/experiences using this or similar HW for a Proxmox setup. And yes it'll work. And yes it'll be power efficient. And yes Proxmox is simply awesome.

HOWEVER: You mention company usage - this is not "company" grade HW! Never mind "enterprise" grade!
The main drawback will be storage. The storage solutions inside these Mini PCs will be sub-standard & limited. Cheap, unreliable & sub-par SSDs/NVMEs - just about workable for a home-server hobbyist setup. (Search these forums & others, on SSDs & NVMEs used). However, with an investment (time, research & money), they can usually be affordably upgraded to a more robust solution.

So plan ahead carefully, your storage & backup solutions - so that you'll have a reliable "working" & "company" solution. And remember this - you'll need reliable & restorable BACKUPS - otherwise you're going to have a lot of (company) grief!
