Configuring NUMA on a Proxmox VE VM

Hello everyone!
Colleagues, tell me what the line from the documentation means: "If the NUMA option is used, it is recommended to set the number of sockets to the number of nodes of the host system"?
Which nodes are we talking about?

But let me clarify, does the number of nodes not match the number of server sockets in the default configuration?

If I'm wrong, can someone tell me how to quickly clarify the number of nodes in the host system?
