hi,
i created one kvm with two bridged rtl8139 ethernet devices (proxmox 1.9). then i configured the devices inside the kvm (/etc/network/interfaces - squeeze).
they were working quite well. now i like to remove the second device and therefor i commented out the configuration section at /etc/network/interfaces and rebooted the kvm. but the eth1 is still there with its old configuration. so, i devided to remove the virtio-device at the proxmox web-interface and rebooted again, but the interface is still there and works, like nothing happend (ifconfig, lspci).

does anyone know how to fix that? thanks, carli.

i found the solution (and an other issue): rebooting the machine from inside the kvm (root@vm26:/# reboot)
, did not succeed, also rebooting from the proxmox web interface did not work, but at least stop and then start (web interface) was working!

so qm stop/start will do the job.
