Hello,

I'm trying to setup heartbeat on a new pve 2.0.
Heartbeat package depends on libcorosync4.

Seems that pve 2.0 has it's own libcorosync4-pve and this creates an unmet dependencie:

Code:
aptitude upgrade
No packages will be installed, upgraded, or removed.
0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 0 B of archives. After unpacking 0 B will be used.

root@srv4:~# aptitude install heartbeat
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  cluster-agents{a} cluster-glue{a} heartbeat libcluster-glue{a} libcorosync4{a} libcurl3{a} libesmtp5{a}
  libheartbeat2{a} libltdl7{a} libnet1{a} libopenhpi2{a} libssh2-1{a} openhpid{a} pacemaker{a}
0 packages upgraded, 14 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libcorosync4-pve: Conflicts: libcorosync4 but 1.2.1-4 is to be installed.
The following actions will resolve these dependencies:

      Remove the following packages:
1) clvm
2) corosync-pve
3) fence-agents-pve
4) libcorosync4-pve
5) libopenais3-pve
6) libpve-access-control
7) libpve-storage-perl
8) openais-pve
9) proxmox-ve-2.6.32
10) pve-cluster
11) pve-manager
12) qemu-server
13) redhat-cluster-pve
14) resource-agents-pve
15) vzctl

Any idea how to resolve this ?

Best,

I'm trying to setup heartbeat on a new pve 2.0.
Heartbeat package depends on libcorosync4.

Please do not install that! PVE already includes the complete HA stack by default, so that is not needed at all.

Hello,

Please do not install that! PVE already includes the complete HA stack by default, so that is not needed at all.

Yes I understood that PVE HA is based on linux HA, but which software is used to do the "heartbeat" job. I cannot find it.
I really need to have "heartbeat" or something equivalent to monitor the health of some non PVE processes as I used to do in pve 1.x

Could you point me in the right direction ?

Thanks

xav
