Hi,

Just a little question:
If I change the IP adress of my proxmox installation (1.5) will this have consequeses for my virtual machines?

To clearify a little.
I have a proxmox 1.5 installation which has 2 virtual machines on it (production machines)
Now due to some changes in the network at my datacenter i need to change the IP adress of my proxmox server.
However i do not want to jepardise connectivity of the VM's running on the proxmox server.

So i need to be sure that when i change the IP of the proxmox installation the VM's are not effected.

I can temporarily live migrate the VM's to another server if needed. (in case of reboot or something)

kind regards

Do you have bridged network for the vms?
I think you can do it. An other problem is the cluster. If you change the ip you need to reinit the cluster.

The cluster is managed on another NIC and that IP doesn't change so i don't think that should be an issue right?

Eth1 is using a internal IP that is connected via crosslink to the second proxmox node.
VMBR0 is what is used for "outside" communication.

So with this setup, should i reinit the cluster?
