Hello,

just a note on how to make network changes effective in Proxmox without the need to reboot

firstly, this has only worked on changes that did not involve my main NIC while in use (NIC with gateway attached)

you can use PVE front-end to create or amend your network connections as desired and when you are satisfied and you have the message asking you to reboot.
login into to PVE with ssh and run:
Code:
/etc/init.d/pvenetcommit start
it has worked for me and it may help others too.

it is helpful when i need to add a BRIDGE which is not connected to any real NIC. so i do need my whole environment rebooted for this simple change.

please let me know if this should not be done.

thanks,

Nicolas
