Hi

I am new here so please don't shoot at me if this has been answered before and I might have searched wrongly for a solution.

We have just started with a Proxmox VE test installation and as a next step, I would like to virtualise an existing "SME server" (a CentOS5 based distribution) into a KVM.

A fresh KVM install of SME server has been successful and the existing Wiki article about the setup of two NICs was helpful (http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/SMEServer_KVM).

Proxmox VE appears to be a very good product (Thanks to the development team and greatings to Austria from sunny New Zealand) but also seems to have a very good ('healthy') community.

My question is related to running Hylafax on that VM with a modem attached to a serial port. This seems to work for containers (?) http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/2039-HylaFax-Server-Ubuntu but not for KVM?

The question whether it works with KVM now still seems to be oipen? http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/1299-VM-and-serial-port?highlight=serial+modem

Although this post sounds OK? http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/953-Serial-Ports?highlight=serial+modem

If a USB-serial converter in any way helps with the situation, I am happy to try that.

Thanks for any help.
Michael
