live migration with non-shared storage

Hi,
I've read in KVM mailing lists that they've added a feature for live migration with non-shared storage.
I was wondering if proxmox supports this feature?
also, is live migrate reliable?
does it require special hdd format like qcow2 or it works with raw files too?

no, currentyl not.

AFAIK yes.

it works with raw files too.

Well, we already had that feature, but removed it - mainly because migration took a long time (that was before kvm implemented it). With that new kvm feature it should work a bit better, but AFAIK there are still problems when you have multiple, different disk types. Anyway, we simply had no time to look at it so far. Using shared storage is much more fun ;-)
