Hello all,

I equipped my Dell Poweredge R710 with an LSI 9211-8i flashed to IT mode firmware. The goal is to have RAIDZ2 on six 3TB drives (~12TB usable).
Proxmox is installed on an SSD as the boot drive.

using the command,
#zpool create -f -o ashift=12 RAIDZ2 raidz2 /dev/sda /dev/sdb /dev/sdc /dev/sdd /dev/sde /dev/sdf
the kernel failed to rescan the partition table: 16
cannot label 'sda': try using parted(8) and then provide a specific slice: -1

some additional info:
proxmox- 3.4
RAID card firmware- MPT2BIOS 7.37
HDDs- WD 3TB Red (x6)

Any suggestions are appreciated. I've been trying to get this project up for a while now and have been anticipating the native support for ZFS.

Hi,
what kernel you are using?
