Today we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of Proxmox Server Solutions GmbH. A company founded by Dietmar Maurer and by myself. The goal was to build powerful and easy to manage open source server solutions.
On April 29, 2005 we released the first stable version of Proxmox Mail Gateway. We had started development the year before and when we saw it getting stable and ready for public we decided to register a product company called Proxmox.
In April 2008 we released the first version of our virtualization management solution Proxmox Virtual Environment (VE). We are proud of providing what is now one of the best open source virtualization management solution for managing both containers and KVM on a single web interface.
In the last ten years we have learned a lot on the job getting motivation and advice by friends that believed in our goals and by all of you that cared about our mission. Many of you have helped us to make our products better every day: You contributed code, shared testing results, tracked bugs, sent us translations, motivated us, requested new features (almost daily!), some really donated money and so many of you support us by subscribing to our commercial support services. A BIG THANK YOU goes to each and every one of you!
Today Proxmox is an independent, self-financed and profitable company. Our goals have been expanded, but we still continue to work to make our products even more powerful, integrate the latest technologies, and keep them easy to manage.
Looking forward to another 10 years of Proxmox together with you!
