Hello

* can Proxmox VE 3.4 be installed using an iso copied to usb drive? this is fixed. in the past there were grub issues. see below

* if so from linux cli should dd be used to copy the iso to usb? dd or cp work from linux cli see https://www.debian.org/CD/faq/#write-usb
Code:
dd if=proxmox-ve_3.4-3f2d890e-1.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=4M; sync

Mir - thank you for the fast response. I'm familiar with that and also used to use multiboot http://liveusb.info/dotclear/index.php?pages/install which would allow many iso's to a usb ... great for rescuing grub etc..

The last few times I tried to install pve from usb I ran in to grub error on 1-st boot, and ended up using a cd drive.

Have you used a usb stick lately to install pve?

best regards. rob
