Been trying to install it on a test machine for 24 + hours
have used dvd media and usb
system looks like it installs fine
but refuses to boot
i have disabled uefi etc
and can boot
ubuntu , debian and windows from the same disk no issues
but proxmox fails to boot
is there something i can fix by mounting the disk ?

one of the times out of the few times i tried
i got this message " chroot dpkg error" something like that
which i think might have been dns/hostname related

can someone tell me whats going on ?
thanx all

please post the full output of the install (apt) problems.

hey tom
i actually wiped the debian ( have done all this about 50 times now )
tried everything , even switching the sata disks
no luck
then i installed pve on another disk on another machine .. worked great
moved that disk onto this machine
and no luck again

issue seems to be with Z87PLUS motherboard and proxmox
giving up for now and trying ubuntu/kvm etc

thanx again
