I've see the same problems here, but it was not solved.

I have Debian 7 jessie. Netinstall with some additional packages for desktop use, e.g. wine, skype etc. My system is new, but everything installed and already configured, so i don't want to reinstall it.

Can you help me install pve?

do you have Jessie or Wheezy?

Wheezy is needed for Proxmox VE, its 7.x.

Jessie is 8.x, testing.

and post the full command and the full output of the error.

I have wheezy 7.5, but in sources.list all records are jessie, exept promox. It's wheezy.

I've ran just #apt-get install pve-2.6.32
Will post full output later, cause don't have acces to my PC

My tty is showing me jessie version. So i don't know how, but i have sid update installed on my system. And the main problem is that proxmox-ve and it's components hardly depends of perl 5.14. And i have perl 5.18 installed. Sorry, i have console output in russian, so you can't understand what i have there. Any suggestions, how i can make it with perl 5.18? Or I need only clean install and only perl 5.14?

I'm sorry. It was my fault from the begining. I don't know how, but instead of debian 7.5, i've got jessie alpha1. When I get wheezy everything work fine
