Suggestion: Default to VirtIO on KVM if Linux is selected

I'm just creating yet another Linux KVM machine for testing some stuff, and I started wondering if there's any technical reason virtio isn't pre-selected when choosing Linux as the guest OS... Almost all Linux distros have support for virtio out of the box, so to me it would make sense to have the faster option as the default.

If there's a technical reason not to do it (such as instability with common setups), then fine... But if not, can this be considered for a future update?
