Hello all,
I encounter a problem that i can't resolve : i've installed windows server 2012 on a proxmox machine (with some difficulties for the network adapter).
For the network adapter, i've choose to use virtio win (windows driver and other driver that i found on the net doesn't worked).
Some bugs appears with the driver (i needed to reboot to get a functionnal vm) , so i've tried to change and test the differents ethernet card that proxmox can offers to me :
- Realtec RTL8139
- VirtIO (paravitualized)
- Intel E1000
I choose finally to install the Intel E1000 ethernet card on my vm because it was the most stable between the other ethernet card.
But :
To have a functionnal machine, when i start my vm, i must disable and enable a network card (which i want) on the vm :
if i don't do that, my network can't be functionnal (no internet connection for clients) !
I also noted when a backup (snapshot mode) is done on my vm, (sometimes not always) my vm crash (blue screen), and it's always the same problem :

So i decided to install the latest driver for virtio win that i can found (http://www.linux-kvm.org/page/WindowsGuestDrivers/Download_Drivers) but when i choose to install the new driver, windows is saying that my driver is up to date and functionnal (but i really think not).
I think also to try to uninstall the driver and re-install it but i can't do that for the moment (i can do this a weekend for example).
I also output my pveversion for my problem that can maybe help you (i know that's not the latest version of proxmox but i can't also upgrade proxmox for the moment) :
