I already uploaded a patch to the git repository, so role PVEVMUser can do that in future (3.0 release).

For 2.3, the following workaround may help:

# pveum roleadd TESTROLE -privs VM.Audit,VM.Backup,VM.Allocate,VM.Console,VM.PowerMgmt,VM.Config.CDROM

Note: The new role additionaly include the VM.Allocate permission

we have upgrade our farm to v3.0-20/0428106c, but users can´t restore her own backup files. only create and delete are working.

error msg: Permission check failed  (403)

do you have a solution, please?
