Need someone who can develop Proxmox

What kind of new features are you looking for to implement?

1. Limit bandwidth to network adapter on "Physical" server (Manage from GUI – Network adapter settings)
2. Limit bandwidth to VM / IP for OpenVZ Container (Manage from GUI)
3. Limit Disk IO for OpenVZ (Manage from GUI – on Disk space section?)
4. Notifications – Email update when physical or VM (both KVM / OpenVZ) reach Memory / Bandwidth / CPU / Disk IO / Disk Space x% (Manage from GUI)

For 2# http://openvz.org/Traffic_shaping_with_tc or any other solution
For 1# and 2# - it would be good if it would be possible to limit upload / download separately
For 3# Please check: https://openvz.org/I/O_priorities_for_containers and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I/O_scheduling

Ok,

1+2 can be done with tc.
Not sure how we can easily limit disk i/o. I'll have to investigate that.
4 also need further investigation. Fx Guest disk space is not possible to read from the host. Unless there is a guest agent.

If I remember correct, I think that some of the developers are already working on above - or some of them.

But 1+2 should be possible to arrange

3. (Disk I/O for OpenVZ) can you do some quick overview on the subject to know what the scope of work?
4. in the "worth case" we can get this info via API: http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Proxmox_VE_API
but am sure that our Friends from Proxmox and the community members Help us understand what is the most correct way to implement this.

2. you can look at kvm bandwith limit code, it's using tc on tap interface. maybe code can be reuse
4. I think it should be done in pvestatd daemon, maybe in PVE::QemuServer::vmstatus().
