How to limit visible resources?

Hello, is there a way to limit visible resources (for example cpu usage of main node and memory usage) for PVEVMUser? Thanks in advance.

Yes, by the number of Memory/CPUs you assign to the VM. But per user limits are currently not implemented.

Hello, thank you for answer.
I logged as user and I can see number of cpu and memory usage for whole node, and also my server.

I want hide node details. Is it possible?
Hi,
how looks your permissions?

I've just tested - you can see the name of the server in the cluster and the node, where the VM is running (is IMHO usefull) but only cpu from the VM, not the server:

In this example the group, where the testuser is, has only the right PVEVMUSER for /vms/301

I just added user, and set if for vps server with PVEVMUser. Its ok with me to see on which node is vps. But I don`t know how set that user is nota ble to see available resources of node.
But if you click on proxmox1, you will see whole cpu and ramu usage for node right?

@edit
I set only for group and user is still able to see node resources :(

Hi,
yes - in the Datacenter-section you can see the resources of all nodes also as PVEVMUser - this is not necesscary, because the permission are not high enough to migrate the VM (in this case it's mandantory to know the resources of other nodes).
And yes, I'm think also that a PVEVMUser should know noting about the node, where the VM run... In cases where this is necessary they should be another privilege for.

You can fill an bugreport on https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/ (you need to create an account).

BTW: Please post additional infos (screenshots) also inside this forum. If someone later find this thread, the post will be perhaps useless because the extended source has deleted the old content.

Whatever became of this issue? I'm also in agreement Grabol that the user should not be able to see all of the available resources in the Datacenter folder. I find it fairly peculiar that a PVEVMUser has the ability to see this information when they log into the GUI. I understand that they don't have the necessary permissions to do anything but to give out system data even of this nature without any control from the admin is odd.
