can not aptitude full upgrade on a new install ** SOLVED **

Re: can not aptitude full upgrade on a new install

I had to reboot to get /etc/pve mounted.

after that :
Code:
aptitude full-upgrade
The following packages will be upgraded:
  redhat-cluster-pve
The following partially installed packages will be configured:
  libpve-access-control pve-cluster
1 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 643 kB of archives. After unpacking 69.6 kB will be used.

So after 2 reinstalls we're back to the same issue.

This system is mainly used for nfs storage and backups. Which works. We can not use it for full pve.

So a new install with only aptitude full-upgrade done does not work.

If someone has a suggestion or wants ssh access to see what is up with this please let me know.

Hi,
one thing, what not be discussed: It's looks like an non-standard installation (backports enabled...).
Why don't use an normal installation from the iso and do all upgrades? I'm sure that's will work.

Re: can not aptitude full upgrade on a new install

Udo
check my last reinstall note - on a fresh install there was at least one backport package done by the pve install.

Hi,can short look with ssh if you provide an IP.take this in /root/.ssh/authorized_keys
Code:
ssh-rsa AAAAB3NzaC1yc2EAAAADAQABAAABAQDBuay38CZahzauB7q/6G7HuKjgLI3E9/TmM/NfWLaLM2c86tmhNTb69yxvHM7JMgP19ffss4ZIj43IAmuMEvDlglpkpKP5QWjrIJQkrI1jIGi2YSBvK3yxFI9N9qHi0qRp7kZUdJCtLnXo7hI/Yf+yT8tV8txp+3cEPg0zd4GXRjkE9I/HBtU7UqWajW14ny8aAe7IgIODtO//JVytTxev4umsgDjw7l+ZmqpOQiesxn5VIx7IYf2gdB05gknMLiC1YOSOQP+RGZuMl4aLViqXYmyRaj79VL0Fps0b+6L/I/utjDYjh1FE10CrU8g/9XCgoPkWbgoryAQhvcSoMY89 udo

Udo,
well done on figuring that out!
and thank you for the help

we use a site wide /etc/ssh/ssh_known_hosts . guess I'll exclude that for pve systems.

I also experienced this.
Yes, I realize how old this thread is but this problem still exists and in my opinion is a bug.
I submitted a bug report here: https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=616
