(it was After an update !)

Why do you run that command?

# pvestatd -v

That is simple no valid command.

Does it help if you stop the VM, and start it again?

Yes, dont you see the irony >...

As i said i dont want to do that. I was asking , is there a way to create the control socket ewith qemu while they are up

What if i link :

/var/run/qemu-server/XXX.qmp to /var/run/qemu-server/XXX.mon

Ok, I can see the bug now. Seems those VMs are started before we added the new control socket.

Unfortunately, the only way I see is to restart those VMs. I guess you can still open the console? If so, do a power-down, then restart the VM.

I have the same problem, but an restart does not help to fix this. I only have problems with my Windows-Guest.

Any other idea? Any workaround? The Windows-Guest won't start and i need them.

f.

What error do you get exactly?

And how do you stop that VM?

I open the console-windows and click on the stop-button.

You need to login into the VM, then do a shutdown inside the VM (because stop button does not work because of the bug)

i can't login. console isn't working on these windows-guests. i get an "Network error:remote side closed connection"-error.
